The gym at work has a nifty gadget that calculates your weight, height, body-mass index, and even your fat index.  I've decided to measure myself every Monday as one form of assessing my progress.  I'm happy to report that after my third measurement, I have lost over 7 pounds of body fat.  Now my overall weight hasn't shifted much.  In fact, I gained a pound this week but still slightly less than my first measurement.  Also, I'm noticing my heart rate isn't going as high for the same effort.  Another plus!
